What Covenant Apostolics Believe...
Page Under Construction
We believe the Bible is The Inspired Word of God. There are no other books, prophecies, or persons who are held as equal to the scriptures, save Jesus only. We believe that the original Christianity practiced in the book of Acts was eventually hidden from the people by Rome and its pagan clergy. The form of Christianity now commonly practiced is therefore a counterfeit, an offspring of Roman religion. This apostasy was prophesied by the original Apostles. We believe that this apostasy replaced the first four of God’s Commandments which deal exclusively with our service to Him, and replaced them with four pagan counterfeits which give homage to Rome. First, the One God was replaced with a pagan trinity ; Second, the church was filled with idols; Third, the LORD’s Name was replaced in the baptismal formula with a “nameless” baptism in the titles Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; Fourth, God’s Sabbath (the 7th Day) was replaced with Rome’s pagan SUN-day. We believe the One, Indivisible God, the Only Creator is manifested in the flesh as Jesus Christ. (I Tim 3:16) We do not accept the Roman triune god. Since one cannot find the word trinity anywhere in the scriptures, we are therefore not only “non-trinitarian” but indeed “anti-trinitarian”. (Deut 6:4) We believe Scriptural Water Baptism is for the "remission of sins" and is commanded in the scriptures to be done in the singular "Name", rather than the nameless Trinitarian titles. (Acts 2:38) We believe that true believers are filled with the Power of God's Holy Spirit in exactly the same way throughout the whole of the church age. The initial evidence being the same for us today as it was for the first believers in the book of Acts. This experience is synonymous with being born again of the spirit. (Acts 10:44-46 / John 3:3-5) We believe that under the New Covenant the ONLY change in God’s Laws (The 10 Command-ments) is their “location”. All ten are moved in their completion, and unaltered from the old tables of stone and written in the heart of the true believer. We believe that He has not saved us “because” we keep His Commandments, but rather that we keep His Commandments because He has saved us. We believe that the "Ten Commandments" & the "Book of the Law" are two seperate sets of laws. Combined they made up the "Old Covenant". We believe that under the "New Covenant" the "Book of the Law" with it's more than 600 temporary laws has been nailed to the cross. These temporary laws included sacrifices, circumcision, the 10% tithe , food laws, annual holy days, and the Mosaic ordinances governing the way the 7th day Sabbath was to be kept under the old covenant. To teach any of these is to place the believer back under the "Old Covenant". We believe that the "Ten Commandments" were not "nailed to the cross" they are indeed God's Laws which He moves from the tables of stone and writes in the hearts of true believers as His "New Covenant".
